What is Profession of Faith? (POF)

In the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a profession of faith is a way for a baptized Christian from another denomination to join the Adventist Church without being rebaptized. The individual affirms their personal faith in Jesus, agrees with the core beliefs of the Adventist Church, and commits to becoming part of the local church family. The local church votes to receive the person into membership based on this profession.
